“How Automated Feed Production is Revolutionizing Sustainable Agriculture”
FFT GrowSystem™
Automated On-Farm Feed Centers
FFT GrowSystems are built to meet the demands of high-producing livestock operations by integrating FFT’s patented designs, science and growing protocols with industry proven automation technology.
FFT GrowSystems are supported by JR Automation, a Hitachi company, who provides industry leading automation and integration expertise.
ForeverFeed™
FFT ForeverFeed is a fresh nutritious sprouted grain supplement that is a highly digestible livestock feed that improves feed efficiency and can be grown year-round; this includes wheat, barley, sorghum, and triticale.
Hydroponically Sprouted Grain
Sustainability
Significant Water and Land Savings
One FFT GrowSystem will grow 35-50 tons of fodder per day and replace over 350-500 acres of land using 95% less water than field grown alfalfa. (Based on California metrics.)
Ongoing studies at the River Ranch Dairy through the FFT Innovation Center indicate greater feed efficiency, higher milk components, and the potential to reduce enteric methane emissions.
Founded by
Forever Feed Technologies was founded and funded by farmers looking to build a profitable and dependable future for them and their families.
Farmers
Profitable
Return on
Investment
Forever Feed Technologies gives large scale livestock operations the ability to greatly reduce the money they spend on water, land, labor, fertilizer, and fuel used to feed their animals.
The FFT GrowSystems produces consistent energy efficient sprouted grain feed, yielding better production and a compelling return on investment for farmers and their families.
Dependable
Industrial Scale Automation Equipment
The Forever Feed GrowSystem uses Forever Feed Technologies integrates industrial proven automation equipment, which has been in service for decades around the world. This ensures that the FFT GrowSystem will be operational and dependable every day, every month…for years.
The FFT GrowSystem gives gives major livestock operations the confidence they need to meet growing demands for the foods they produce.
Intelligent
FFT GrowSystem Machine Learning
The Forever Feed GrowSystem operating system includes a pathway for machine learning, giving it the intelligence to incorporate new growing protocols for different feed compositions.
Each harvest of ForeverFeed™ is monitored for dry matter content, consistency, nutrients, and sustainability metrics such as water and energy use.

FFT GrowSystems
Forever Feed Technologies has partnered with JR Automation, a global automated manufacturing technology company and subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd.
Using FFT’s patented designs and ForeverFeed™ growing protocols, JR Automation helped integrate and create the machine/human interface of the FFT GrowSystem. Together FFT and JR will continue to maximize feed output, water efficiencies, and carbon emission reductions.
The FFT GrowSystem is designed to be owned and operated by the farm and is supported with any technical updates or growing protocols and operations updates from both Forever Feed Technologies and JR Automation.
Forever Feed Technologies unique designs and grow system operations are patent pending.
Established in 1980, JR Automation Technologies is a leading provider of intelligent automated manufacturing technology solutions that solve customers’ key operational and productivity challenges. JR Automation serves customers across the globe in a variety of industries, including automotive, life sciences, aerospace, and more. In 2019, JR Automation was acquired by Hitachi, Ltd.
ForeverFeed™
Sprouted Grain
ForeverFeed™ is hydroponically sprouted grain (wheat, barley, sorghum, triticale), which is blended into the animal’s total mixed ration, making it a highly nutritious and digestible feed year-round.
The first enterprise-scale FFT Grow System will be in operation later this year at the River Ranch Dairy in Hanford, California, to enrich the diets of over 5,000 dairy cows.
LEADING
ANIMAL
SCIENTISTS
Forever Feed has engaged with leading dairy and beef nutritionists to maximize the growth and nutrient value of Forever Feed. Our animal nutritionists work with producers to customize the blend of ForeverFeed into the total mixed ration to achieve their goals and economic benefits.
FFT has a comprehensive scientific research program led by botanists and laboratories who have extensive experience in grain varieties, germination, nutrient values, and sustainable growing properties that are used to source the highest quality seed for the FFT GrowSystem and the livestock operations.

AGRICULTURE
CHALLENGES & RISKS
Environmental Risks
Shifting Precipitation & Temperature Patterns
“Shifting precipitation patterns, associated with higher temperatures, are causing more intense wildfires that reduce forage on rangelands and accelerate the depletion of water supplies for irrigation.”
Water Shortages
Western U.S. Megadrought
“The megadrought in the Western U.S., now in its second decade, is the worst since 800 A.D. and any relief is not expected until 2030, according to a study published in the scientific journal Nature, Feb. 14, 2022.”
Arable Land
Farmland Becoming Less Functional
“U.S. agriculture currently faces some steep challenges. Climate change and biodiversity loss represent existential threats to the agricultural status quo. Farmland has become less functional as a result of increasing stresses from drought, floods, pests, and heatwaves.”
Fuel Emissions
AG Sector Emits 9% of U.S. Greenhouse Gasses
“The agricultural sector accounted for about 9% of the Nation’s total GHG emissions in 2015, so reducing emissions in the agriculture sector could have a significant impact on total U.S. emissions. Nonetheless, agriculture is one of the few sectors with the potential for significant increases in carbon sequestration to offset GHG emissions.”
Methane Emissions
Cattle Digestion Methane - 45% of AG Emissions in the U.S.
“Methane from cattle digestion (enteric emissions) and stored manure makes up roughly 45% of those agricultural emissions nationally (or 4.5% of total emissions in the US). Increases in methane emissions due to growing livestock numbers have significant climate impacts. Conversely, reductions in methane emissions from livestock could have immediate climate benefits and could be a large component of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture.”
